Chances Are

Something sweet from when our parents were dating. :) My cover of Chances Are, music by Robert Allen and lyrics by Al Stillman, originally made popular by the incomparable Johnny Mathis.

Gale would like to hear your wonderfully mellow singing voice performing this (or any song) with your own arrangement or performance style. Sticking so closely to the original just invites comparisons with Johnny Mathis, at least for someone like her who can name the tune after two chords.

Understood and thanks. The point of this was to score the original arrangement (old school, listen to it and write it out part by part). It is a study somewhat the same way Bach learned to compose by transcribing other people's work. It is something I do when not working on a song of my own. Never stop studying.

Obviously I don't check the comments on the blogs very often. Good to hear from you!
