Ok, John and Gail, I turned off the targeting computer and used The Force. :)
This is a song I've been singing for a long time, a cover of Glen Campbell's first hit that was written by John Hartford.
Dedicated to my Dad who donated Five Dollars to the Cerebral Palsy Telethon in 1967 so at age 13, they would bring me on that Sunday morning to sing it. Ralph Emery introduced me and held a mic while I played it. For years Dad would ask for this song when I was on TV or live. Then one night, I played it to him as he died. True story.
So, fifty years later, it's time to record it. Thanks Dad, for everything.

Thanks! It so happens that when I temporarily adopted the traditional role of a Second Trombone for a year or so in junior high, this was the piece we played in performance.
Gale and I liked your version a lot.
