ABC GMA says that Francis Ford Coppola is being honored this week for a lifetime of work. I say.. ++1. I have some particularly fond and private memories of seeing his work at the last of the drive in movies up the road before those were shuttered. For that and the movies, a simple thanks to an American original who reminded us what it means to be an immigrant, what it means to be a teen ager, and why war is never the first choice.
And apparently how to make a good bottle of wine. Best to you yours from the back seat of a Fiat 600 that now only exists in my memory!
